Washington State Court Forms

In This Section

Court Forms dialog

In the "Court Forms" dialog window, you have four options.  By default, the selection "With Dependent Children" and  "No Dependent Children" has default forms selected. You may use this as a quick starting point unselecting forms not required or selecting additional forms you require.  Alternatively, you may start with "Individual Forms" selection, which requires you to select each form needed.

Individual Forms Selections

As shown in Figure 1, when you select the option "Individual Forms", additional selections become available allowing you to choose the forms you require.  In the selection box "Select Individual forms required:" as shown in Figure 2 has two selections that if selected will present you with additional selection boxes and forms.

Summons & Personal Service

In Figure 2 above notice "Summons & Personal Service - View additional forms" is selected.  This adds the additional selection box in red, "Select Type of Service required:" to the dialog . When a selection or question is in red it is required to be answered; therefore, we need to select one of the options to continue. If you don't need a summons unselect "Summons & Personal Service - View additional forms".

County Specific Forms

Notice the selection box titled "LINCOLN COUNTY FORMS" in the Figure 1. In this example, we selected "Lincoln County Superior Court" during the "County of" court dialog . Also, notice the photo below Figure 3, there is not an option for the "Verification Form" as required by Lincoln County Superior Court. Instead the program adds it by default to the end of the "Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law".

Petition

You may be wondering, why only one petition is available and does not appear to be specific. In a previous dialog , we selected the type of case we were creating for this example. In this case, "Married Couple" and "Petition for Dissolution of Marriage"; therefore, the program is responding to our selection.  See, Type of Service Required.

With Dependent Children

When selecting "With Dependent Children" the following forms in Figure 6 are selected by default. You can unselect any forms not required or select additional forms. All forms selected will be assembled one after another beginning with the petition.

No Dependent Children

When selecting "No Dependent Children" the following forms in Figure 7 are selected by default. You can unselect any forms not required or select additional forms. All forms selected will be assembled in the present interview.

Subsequent to Selecting Your Court Forms

In the Figure 8 below, to demonstrate the actions of the software, we have selected "With Dependent Children" in the dialog Window leaving the defaulted forms selected.

Once selected, select the next button located above the Resource Window, as shown in Figure 9.

Notice the additional dialogs inserted in the Interview Window of Figure 10. These dialogs pertain to the Petition Template. The program distinguishes from the forms selected in Figure 8 that the dialogs for the petition should be asked first.
