Identification of Petitioner and Respondent
In this Section
1.1 Identification of Petitioner
Figure 1 shows questions in red, which
must be answered prior to proceeding to the next dialog . Notice the "Middle
Name" question is in black, not required to be answered if unknown
or the person does not have a middle name.
In addition, 1.1 Identification of Petitioner presents you with additional
questions shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3. These answers
are required so the program can determine the correct format and answers to captions,
signature lines, etc.

1.2 Identification of Respondent
To demonstrate, we complete the dialog using "Jane Doe Sample"
as the Petitioner/Client and "John Doe Sample" as the
Respondent. After selecting the Next button, two additional
dialogs append to the Interview Window as shown in Figure 5.

Wife's Personal Information
As shown in Figure 6, answers from previous questions are already
defaulted to this dialog . While completing the interview for the wife's information
we enter her "Maiden Name" as Smith and select yes for
"Require name change?". As shown in Figure 7,
an additional question "Type full name to change to:" is added to
the dialog Window and the default is set to "Jane Doe Smith".

Understanding Answers
Defaulted by the Program
Throughout the dialog s, the program will default to the most rational answer from
previous answers. In this example, the wife requests to have her name changed
to Jane Smith, thereby removing her middle name. Shown in Figure 7,
the program created and supplied a new name by default using the wife's first
name, middle name and maiden name. Select the text box and delete her middle name
as shown in Figure 8.

Employment Information
In most intake interviews the petitioner and respondents employment information
would be in their personal information worksheet; therefore, the program has added
the Employment Information dialog in the Interview Window after their personal
information dialogs regardless to the fact the information is not required until
the Confidential Information Form. Figure 9 shows the form completed for the Sample's
Dissolution.

Document Preview
Up to this point, we have been demonstrating the program in the Interview tab.
Figure 10 shows four tabs along the top of the Interview Window;
the Interview, Document Preview, Question Summary,
and Answer Summary. We will now explore the Document Preview tab as
shown in Figure 11.
Figure 10

Shown in Figure 11, the Document Preview tab shows the
form in real time as it is created. Our answers to the questions in the dialogs so far are shown in blue. Notice the
red line, we did not supply a Birth Date for the husband being we didn't
know it. We can return later and enter it, print the petition and write the
Birth Date in later, or submit it to the court as is, if unknown. NOTE:
the colors in the Document Preview tab are set by default to make the document easier
to follow with the option to turn off, if preferred. Regardless, the document prints
only in black.
Answers may also be edited from within the Document Preview tab.
